Top 5 Questions About Adoption

Adoption is a very loving and selfless parenting option in which you have the unique opportunity to provide a quality of life for your child through creating an adoption plan that you may or may not be able to offer him or her at this time. By creating an adoption plan for your child you will be able to select a loving adoptive family and decide whether you want to have a closed, semi-open or open adoption plan and determine your level of correspondence with that family and your child throughout your child’s life.

Most adoption agencies have family profile books of potential adoptive parents who have been screened and approved to adopt. In these profile books, often the potential adoptive couples will share their story, provide you with pictures of themselves and share their heart for adopting. They have gone through a careful screening process including background checks and home studies to ensure they are financially and emotionally ready to be parents!

Are there any costs for me to choose an adoption plan?

No, with most adoption agencies services to the birth mother are completely free!

Can I receive updates and pictures from my child’s adoptive family in the future?

There are several adoption plans that you can choose from where you can decide how much contact you would like to have with your child and his or her adoptive family in the future.
